We had a wonderful week!

Our story in our Rooted in Reading Series was called Salt in His Shoes!  It is was a biography of a young Michael Jordan and it was written by his mother and his sister!  We worked on the skill of finding the lesson in the story.  Check it out on youtube.com :).   In Grammar, we looked at the suffixes of able, ed, ful, and less.  We found that using them correctly was not as obvious as you might think - exp. thankable??? (not correct)

In Math, we are adding two 3-digit numbers and completing our unit with our assessment on Friday.  On to subtraction next week!

 

We are continuing with our upper case cursive letters in Handwriting and the Liturgy of the Eucharist in Religion.  We have also practiced our line up for First Communion and how we will process in on our special day.

On Friday, lower school attended a Mass with second grade doing the planning!    Molly did a great job reading the First Reading and Elliana, Olivia, and Ronan were in the Offertory Procession.

It would be wonderful to turn in your Jesus Books next week and get a jump on the deadline of April 25!

The Jesus Day committee would also love to have the Parent Support letters as soon as possible so they can get them organized for Jesus Day!
