What a fun week!
The students spent a lot of time sharing their Dinosaur Reports and explaining their projects to the class. We enjoyed every single one and were amazed at how much they know about their dinosaur and how the whole family enjoyed working on their projects together.
We also looked at a story in our Rooted in Reading Series called Martin's Big Words! We learned a lot about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his peaceful life. We now know what a great role model he was for us. The skill we worked on was finding Key Facts in a story. In Grammar, we practiced writing dates correctly and how to put commas in a series.
In Math, we began a unit on Money and Time. So far we are reviewing the coins and how to recognize and count them correctly.
We all look forward to the Teaching Mass this Sunday. Fr. Lanning will walk through the Mass and explain the different parts. The Mass begins at 2:00 p.m. and our whole families are welcome!
During Catholic Schools Week, we will have a class Theme Day. This will be on February 3, 2022. Just an FYI, our class theme is Disney! Students can wear any Disney attire that day - thought you might want to know ahead of time :)
Our Playhouse Square Fieldtrip was cancelled and rescheduled for April 27th - we look forward to the 'Dino-Light' experience!!
